Transforming Lives Through the Love of God in Christ
Our inclusive vision for the Cathedral congregation is to be equipped for ministry so we can change the world around us as we carry out the Five Marks of Mission in all areas of our life: our families and communities, our jobs, our Church work, and our individual call and focus.
- To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom
- To teach, baptize and nurture new believers
- To respond to human need by loving service
- To seek to transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind, and to pursue peace and reconciliation
- To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth
Our mission and ministry draws on our rich Anglican/Episcopal heritage. The congregation’s focus is to bring English and Spanish speaking communities into closer relationship with God and each other; spreading the Gospel, the Sacraments and God’s love and fellowship to all races, nationalities, personal preferences, and age groups, especially the alienated and disadvantaged in Panama City and those without a Church family; maintaining worship in a dynamic, welcoming and safe environment; and demonstrating the Spirit of Christ through our ministry and outreach.
We have learned much during the pandemic and hope to incorporate these lessons into our vision and mission.
