daughters of the king

The St. Clare Chapter of the Daughters of the King

The Chapter was instituted at the Cathedral on Sunday January 20, 2013 by Bishop Sylvester Romero who was then the Chaplain of the Order, with the Dean Emeritus of the Cathedral, the Rev. Maiziee Lennan.  The order was originally founded in 1885 by Margaret J. Franklin and her Bible study class at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in New York and currently has over 100,000 members in 21 nations of the world.  After a three month study new members take vows to uphold the  Rules of The Order: a commitment to Prayer, Service and Evangelism.

The St. Clare Chapter currently has 8 members and meets weekly to pray for the Church, the clergy and all prayer requests brought to the Chapter’s attention and to study God’s Word.  The Chapter accepts financial donations from the members and funds raised have been given to the Food Pantry and the Girls’ Home.  For additional information, please speak with one of the Daughters.
