Mission to the needy

Come and make a difference! We at St. Luke’s Cathedral believe in walking our talk! Preaching the message of Jesus Christ is essential, but it is only meaningful if we live that message in what we do. For this reason, we are engaged in making a difference to the lives of others, just as Jesus did and called us to do Click here for more

Youth & Children

“Sunday Schools began as a church-sponsored initiative to teach children to read and write in the days before universal public education. When publicly funded schools superseded that initial purpose, churches seized the opportunity to reimagine Sunday Schools as vehicles for religious education, that is, for forming children into mature Christians who actively participate in the life of the Church.”  — Jon White, Episcopal Café website, May 2017

OUR HISTORY & HERITAGE

The Cathedral´s history began with a private chapel in the home of Colonel William Crawford Gorgas (October 3, 1854 – July 3, 1920), for his moments of prayer. Subsequently, a room for a chapel was provided in what was the Ancon Hospital, then called Gorgas Hospital, now Instituto Oncológico Nacional.
